The Central of Georgia Railway Historical Society, Inc., has recently released a reprint of a locomotive diagram book that was issued by the Central of Georgia Railway circa 1944, with the last revisions dated June 13, 1947. The title page of the copy used for this reprint does not include a date. However, the Society has a similar diagram book that has an issue date of August 4, 1944, that includes a number of pages with later revision dates (as late as June 1948). For that reason, we have put an issue date of "circa 1944" on the reprint.

The diagram book contains approximately 75 pages, with line drawings and mechanical data for all of the locomotives, both diesel and steam, in service on the CofGa circa 1944 through June 1947. By the date of this diagram book, many of the CofGa’s "early" steam locomotives had been retired.
